ABOUT ZACK

Zack Rosen grew up in central New Jersey where from a very early age, he was surrounded by the highest level of the game of basketball. He was blessed with a tenacious work ethic and that tenacity, combined with a fiery competitive spirit lead him to overachieve in the sport. He competed at Colonia High School, his public high school, for two years and then after a potentially career-ending elbow injury, he transferred to national powerhouse St. Benedict’s Prep in Newark, NJ. At SBP, Zack spearheaded the attack for coach Danny Hurley’s team that spent the majority of the 2006-2007 season as the #1 ranked team in the county by USA Today, and which had a handful of future NBA players. From there, Zack went on to have a standout career at the University of Pennsylvania where he finished as the storied program’s all-time leader in assists, third in scoring, and first ever 3-time captain. In his senior season, he was Ivy League and Big 5 Player of the Year as well as an AP honorable-mention All-American. After college, Zack was invited to workout for a handful of NBA teams and landed with Sixers for the 2012 NBA Summer League. When the NBA didn’t work out, he took his efforts overseas where he played in Ligat-Al, the Israeli SuperLeague, for three seasons. In Israel, Zack won the 3-point contest two years in a row.

Zack has always seen the bigger picture. He’s always tried to apply all of the lessons that he’s learned playing on the court to his life off the court. He firmly believes that a person can attain tangible growth through the sport of basketball and his mission, through ZRBC, is to bring that growth to the campers. He wants guys to access themselves, to discover who they are as people, and to take that self-discovery with them into all that they do.
