What do you get when you combine Camp Mesorah’s amazing facilities, a staff of tremendous coaches and chinuch professionals and a professional basketball player? You get the hottest one- week camp that every ball player ages 10 to 18 will want to be at August 23rd through 27th: The Zack Rosen Basketball Camp

Who is Zack Rosen? Zack Rosen is currently in the midst of his third season as a professional basketball player in Israel, playing in Ligat Al, the top league in Israel with some of the most competitive teams in the world. Before turning pro, Rosen enjoyed an illustrious four years at the University of Pennsylvania, where as a senior he was the Player of the Year both in the Philadelphia Big 5 and the Ivy League. Rosen graduated as Penn’s all-time leader in assists and third all-time leading scorer. Rosen is the program’s only three-time captain. Before his university days, Rosen played for one of the top-five high school programs in the country, competing with and against a number of guys who are now playing in the NBA.

The Zack Rosen Camp staff will be spearheaded by Rabbi Gary Beitler, who has over 30 years of camp experience, with 10 as the director of Camp Heller. Rabbi Beitler has coached in the Yeshiva League and JV and Varsity for over 10 years and led three different teams to the championships. He has been the Athletic Director in Camp Mesorah for 12 years and is currently the Athletic Director for MTA.

The highly experience staff will include: Yisrael Feld (Yeshiva University star); Rabbi Jonathan Kessel (Maggid Shiur, Assistant Director of Athletics of MTA) and Steve Gutlove (Coach of the RYNJ Jaguars and co-comissioner of the Mitch Gross Basketball League).

Using basketball as the medium, boys entering grades 5-12 will discover more of who they are, where they are, and where they want to direct their lives. There will be skill breakdown and development, live competition, mental approach, video sessions, 1-on-1 instruction, and guest speakers. The boys will be coached at the highest level and shown, through the game he loves, how to learn many of life’s most fundamental lessons.
